Thunderbolt Marine (TMI) welcomes in the new year with the arrival of M/Y Royal Eagle (140’ Pichiotti) and M/Y Midlandia (171’ Bennetti).  Both vessels are in for Lloyd’s Surveys and major paint jobs. Captain Malcolm Kelliher will see the project through onboard Midlandia and Captain Nick Thompson will manage Royal Eagle.  Jeff Guymon will project manage both refits for TMI under the leadership of general manager Ralph Heil.

In the last 2 years, Thunderbolt Marine has completed Lloyd’s surveys and service on Kanaloa (158’ CRN), Blue Moon (165’ Feadship), Excellence III (187’ Aberking & Rasmussen) and Kiss the Sky (171’ Amels).

Thunderbolt Marine Inc is a full service yacht repair facility with a 7.5 acre basin dredged to 14 ft. and over 2,000 ft of floating docks.  It serves yachts up to 200 ft with hauling capabilities of 160 tons by Travelift and 1,150 tons by Syncrolift.  Conveniently located 12 miles from the sea buoy on the Wilmington River, just outside the historic city of Savannah, TMI is an easy approach from sea with no overhead height restrictions.
