THUNDERBOLT MARINE FALL ACTIVITY
DATE: October 2005
Thunderbolt Marine was a safe port of
refuge for mega yachts seeking shelter from the fury of Hurricane Wilma
and its descent on South Florida. The storm warnings caused yachts
underway to the Ft. Lauderdale Boat Show to divert their course, and
yachts already there to make a course for Thunderbolt and its safe
shelter. The TMI yard was already busy with its fall workload on yachts
finishing busy summer seasons in the Med and New England and rearranged
boats in the basin to utilize every foot of dock space to meet the
demand.
 Thunderbolt Marine
invited the crews of the yachts in the yard to a southern style BBQ
lunch to trade information about the upcoming show, learn the latest
news and network with other boats to plan their agenda in light of the
storm.
Work at TMI this fall
